Atomic Learning Lesson: Party on a Budget is a lesson plan designed to expose student's to work with Excel 07 to produce a spreadsheet with formulas and graphs.

• Objectives: The student will be able to:
• Create a simple electronic spreadsheet
• Make a list of items for a party and estimate the cost of these items
• Add data to their spreadsheet
• Create formulas for multiplying and adding spreadsheet data
• Create and format a basic pie chart in order to see the usefulness of graphs in decision-making and data representation
• Practice life-skills by planning within a budget
• Use problem-solving skills to make appropriate choices for staying within their budget
